I can see the light, but not reach it
In desperation, I reach and reach for it
Wall matter falling on my head
Digging myself an ever-larger hole
How did I get to this point?
When did things go so wrong?
Life had felt pretty darn good
Yet here I am, looking at the shadows
At the bottom of a self-made hole
I just want out.

I wrote this one night after i dreamed I was stuck in a cave after it had caved in. At the time, there were some major issues in my life that seemed to be crushing me - work, school, family, relationships... everything seemed to come at me all at once. This is the result.
